5 Year MBA Majors in the School
The Fashion School offers MBA Majors
Five-Year Degree in Fashion Merchandising

Students should enter the BS in Fashion Merchandising and work closely with his/her adviser so as to achieve the undergraduate degree in merchandising and the MBA.

  • When the student in Fashion Merchandising has 90 hours and a 3.3 gpa apply for the MBA program and they are conditionally admitted pending completion of undergraduate degree and after that time they may take graduate classes.
  • The student must apply no later than July 1 of his/her junior year.
  • GMAT must be taken at the time the application is made. This exam is given six days a week, three weeks every month.

After admission then the undergraduate support core for fashion merchandising would be as follows:

BAD 63037 Financial Accounting in lieu of Acct 23020 (must be taken fall semester only)

BAD 63038 Accounting for Managerial Action and Evaluation
BAD 64005 Statistics for Management

Take one of the following (the one not taken will be taken later)
BAD 66061 Financial Management I
BAD 64271 Human Resource Management
BAD 64042 Management Information Systems

After completion of the undergraduate degree an additional 33 hours will be needed to complete the MBA:
Econ 62021 Business Conditions Analysis and Public Policy
Econ 62022 Managerial Economics
BAD 64271 Human Resource Management
BAD 64041 Operations Management
BAD 64158 Leadership in Organizations
BAD 66050 Social Impacts

An Integrative Management Course: BAD 64185 Business Strategy or approved substitute.

Electives (12 hours)

  • The international elective may be waived if the FDM student has participated in the Hong Kong or Florence experiences
  • One elective may be waived if the FDM student has done a business-related fashion internship
